7.1.3 Powe Clamp Error Messages
FOR MACHINES WITH A POWER CLAMP ONLY
Please find below the error codes which apply
specifi cally to the power clamping device:

The wheel guard is still closed.
Clamping or unclamping is not possible.
• Open the wheel guard completely.

Start was done without clamping the wheel correctly.
Or:
The Power Clamp system does not detect anything on
the shaft and performs a no-load clamping operation.
Or:
The Power Clamp system is accidentally Off.
• Press the STOP key.
• Bring the clamping jaws to the release position.
• Check the state of the shaft clamping jaws.
• Check the state of the clamping accessories and
make sure they are positioned correctly on the
shaft.
• Repeat the clamping.

The Power Clamp control pedal was activated with the
Power Clamp Off mode still activated.
If the main shaft is fitted with an optional wheel
clamping device, as an alternative to the standard
Power Clamp:
• Wait until the message is cleared or press the STOP
key, then continue.
If the machine is in the standard confi guration (with
fl ange and Power Clamp shaft installed):
(Fig. 7-4)
• Press and hold down for at least three seconds both
the "PRECISION" (8) and the "Balancing Mode"
(9) keys. An acoustic signal indicates that the Power
Clamp Off mode has been disabled.
