Note:
With high outside temperatures, it may be necessary to
start the engine without the choke even when the en-
gine is cold!
1. Check the fuel and saw chain oil levels before each
start (see sections 11.2 and 11.3). Make sure that
the spark plug connector (27) is connected to the
spark plug.
2. Remove the guide bar and chain guard (26) from
the guide bar (15).
3. Set the chainsaw down on a firm and level surface.
The saw chain (16) must not come into contact with
the floor.
4. Push the front hand guard (1) forwards until it latch-
es into place. The saw chain (16) is clamped by the
chain brake.
5. Press the fuel pump "primer" (6) 6x.
6. Pull out the choke (7)
( ).
7. Place the tip of your shoe in the rear hand
guard (11).
8. Hold the chainsaw firmly by the front handle (2) and
pull the pull starter (4) out slowly until you feel the
first resistance.
9. Now pull the pull starter (4) quickly until the engine
starts.
If the choke (7) is pulled out ( ), the engine will only
start briefly and then stop again.
If the engine does not start, repeat the process.
10. As soon as the engine has stopped, press the
throttle interlock (8) and the throttle lever (9) togeth-
er.
The choke (7) automatically jumps to the "warm
start" operating position.
11. Now pull the pull starter (4) again and the engine
should start.
12. If the engine does not start even after several at-
tempts, read 18.
13. Release the chain brake by pulling the front hand
guard (1) backwards.
14. Press the throttle interlock (8) on the rear handle
(10) and operate the throttle (9). The saw chain (16)
starts running.
You can use the throttle lever (9) to continuously
adjust the speed. The further you press the throttle
(9), the higher the speed.

Starting a warm engine

(The product stood still for less than 15-20 minutes.)
1. Check the fuel and saw chain oil levels before each
start (see sections 11.3 and 11.2). Make sure that
the spark plug connector (27) is connected to the
spark plug.
2. Remove the guide bar and chain guard (26) from
the guide bar (15).
3. Set the chainsaw down on a firm and level surface.
The saw chain (16) must not come into contact with
the floor.
4. Push the front hand guard (1) forwards until it latch-
es into place. The saw chain (16) is clamped by the
chain brake.
5. Press the fuel pump "primer" (6) 6x.
6. The choke (7) does not have to be pulled to start a
warm engine.
7. Place the tip of your shoe in the rear hand
guard (11).
8. Hold the chainsaw firmly by the front handle (2) and
pull the pull starter (4) out slowly until you feel the
first resistance.
9. Now pull the pull starter (4) quickly. The product
should start after 1-2 pulls. If the product has still
not started after 6 pulls, repeat the procedure de-
scribed under 12.2.1.
10. The engine will start.
11. Release the chain brake by pulling the front hand
guard (1) backwards.
12. Press the throttle interlock (8) on the rear handle
(10) and operate the throttle (9). The saw chain (16)
starts running.
You can use the throttle lever (9) to continuously
adjust the speed. The further you press the throttle
(9), the higher the speed.
12.2.3 Operating while idle
ATTENTION
When idling, the saw chain must be stationary. If the
saw chain moves, adjust the idle speed!
Note:
• If the saw chain moves at idle or the engine stops
by itself when the throttle is released, a carburettor
adjustment must be made.
• Refer to 14.2.3.
1. Switch the product on as under 12.2.
2. After actuating the throttle lever (9) once, the en-
gine runs at idle speed.
3. Allow the engine to warm up briefly.
12.3 Checking and adjusting the chain
lubrication (Fig. 1, 8)
Notes:
Before starting work, check the oil level and the func-
tion of the chain lubrication.
If there is no trace of oil, clean the oil opening if neces-
sary or have the electric chainsaw repaired by our cus-
tomer service.
