• Start the product at a distance of at least 3 m from
the fuel filling point.
• Watch out for leaks. If fuel is leaking, do not start
the engine.
• Use a suitable funnel or filler pipe for refuelling so
that no fuel can spill onto the combustion engine
and housing.
Do not overfill the fuel tank!
Note:
Also check the saw chain oil after each fuel fill.
1. Mix the fuel as described in 11.1.
2. Always clean the area around the fuel filler cap
(12a) before filling to prevent dirt from falling into
the fuel tank (12). Use a dry, lint-free cloth for this
purpose.
3. Lay the product on its side with the fuel filler cap
(12a) facing upwards.
4. Flip the tab (12b) up.
5. Turn the chain fuel tank cap (12a) anti-clockwise
and open it. The fuel filler cap (12a) is connected to
an anti-loss device in the fuel tank (12) and thus
cannot fall off.
6. Pour the fuel mixture into the fuel tank. Do not spill
fuel when refuelling and do not fill the fuel tank to
the brim.
7. Always wipe up spilled fuel immediately.
8. Turn the fuel filler cap (12a) clockwise to close it.
9. Fold the tab (12b) down again.
11.3 Topping up saw chain oil (23)
(Fig. 1, 2)
WARNING
Only fill the saw chain oil when the engine is
switched off and has cooled down. There is a risk of
fire!
Never work without chain lubrication! If the saw
chain runs dry, the set of blade and saw chain will be
irreparably destroyed in a short time.
Always check chain lubrication before working.
Note:
• Use only saw chain oil. Preferably biodegradable.
• Do not use waste oil, engine oil, etc. Check that the
chain lubrication is working during the work.
1. Always clean the area around the oil tank cap (13a)
before filling to prevent dirt from falling into the oil
tank (13). Use a dry, lint-free cloth for this purpose.
2. Lay the product on its side with the oil tank cap
(13a) facing upwards.
3. Flip the tab (13b) up.
4. Turn the chain oil tank cap (13a) anti-clockwise and
open it. The oil tank cap (13a) is connected to an
anti-loss device in the oil tank (13) and thus cannot
fall off.
5. Pour the supplied saw chain oil (23) into the oil tank
(13). Do not spill saw chain oil (23) when refuelling
and do not fill the oil tank (13) to the brim.
6. Wipe up spilled saw chain oil (23) immediately.
7. Turn the oil tank cap (13a) clockwise to close it.
8. Fold the tab (13b) down again.
11.4 Tensioning and checking the saw
chain (16) (Fig. 2, 3)
WARNING
Danger of injury when handling the saw
chain or the blade!
– Wear cut-resistant gloves.
Note:
• A new saw chain stretches and needs to be re-ten-
sioned more often. Check and adjust the chain ten-
sion regularly after each cut.
1. Before tensioning, loosen the two fixing nuts (20a)
a little with the installation spanner (25).
2. Turn the chain tensioning screw (19) clockwise with
the installation spanner (25) to increase the tension.
3. Tighten the two fixing nuts (20a) with the installa-
tion spanner (25).
4. The saw chain (16) must be in contact with the un-
derside of the guide bar. Check whether the saw
chain (16) can be pulled over the guide rail (15) by
hand (with the chain brake released, pull the front
hand guard (1) back).

– Wear close-fitting protective clothing with a cut
protection insert.
– Wear non-slip safety shoes.
– Wear protective gloves.

protection ordinance.
