When other driving batteries or driving batteries with more cells are used, not only the speed controller or
the motor may be damaged, but cogwheels, joints and drive axles will also be overloaded. The guarantee/
warranty will be void!
The two driving batteries switched in sequence with the included Y-cable; therefore, the speed controller works either
with a mains voltage of 14.8 V (two 2-cell LiPo batteries) or 14.4 V (two 6-cell NiMH batteries).
Caution, important!
Never mix LiPo and NiMH batteries!
The two driving batteries must always have the same capacity and discharge rate. Therefore, they must
have the same type and manufacturer.
Never connect driving batteries with different charging states or partially charged driving batteries to the
speed controller. Otherwise, a wrong number of cells may be recognised, and the undervoltage-protection
may not work properly. This may lead to deep discharging of the batteries!
After switching off the speed controller as described above, connect the two driving batteries again to the speed
controller with the Y-cable.

h) Switching on the Speed Controller

First switch on the transmitter, see chapter 8. d), e) and f).
Place the vehicle on a suitable support as described in chapter 8. g) to ensure the wheels can turn freely.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels
Put the trimming for steering and driving functions at the transmitter into its centre position.
Leave the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter in its neutral position and do not move it.
Then switch on the speed controller (switch position "ON" = on).
The red LED at the speed controller should now flash 4 times, and the motor should emit 4 beeps. The orange LED
also lights up.
If the red LED does not flash after switching on and the motor does not emit any sound signals, while only
the orange LED is lit, the correct neutral position could not be recognised. In this case, set the trimming of
your transmitter correctly or programme the full throttle and neutral positions of the speed controller; see
chapter 10. a).
The sounds are generated by a short start-up of the brushless motor. Depending on the motor, this beep
may be very low or inaudible. In this case, observe the LED on the speed controller.
Then check the drive and steering functions of the vehicle; also see chapter 8. j).
If the steering works opposed to the movement at the rotation knob at the transmitter (a turn to the left at
the transmitter makes the wheels go to the right), activate the steering reverse function.
The vehicle should drive forwards if you pull the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter towards the handle
If this is not the case, either reverse the motor's rotational direction (swap two of the three motor cables) or
activate the motor reverse function at the transmitter.
