When charging is complete, disconnect

the charger z from the mains.
Remove the battery pack 6 from the

charger z.
Switch off the charger for at least 15 min-
utes between successive charging sessions.
Also disconnect the mains plug.

Set the rotation direction switch 3 to

the middle position (lock).
Snap the battery pack 6 into the
handle.

Checking the battery charge level
To check the battery status, press the

status/remaining charge will be shown
on the battery display LED r as follows:
GREEN/RED/ORANGE = maximum
charge/performance
RED/ORANGE = medium charge/
performance
RED = low charge – charge the battery

Additional handle
NOTE
For safety reasons, you should never

use this appliance without the addi-
tional handle 8 attached.
Remove the additional handle 8 by

turning it in a clockwise direction (see
fold-out page).
The additional handle 8 can be rotated

360° on the appliance. Rotate the addi-
tional handle 8 to the required position.
Fix the additional handle 8 in the new
♦
position by turning it anticlockwise.

Depth stop
Undo the screw for the depth stop q.

Fit the depth stop w into the additional
♦
handle 8.
Ensure that the toothing on the depth
♦
stop w is facing downwards.
Pull the depth stop w out until the dis-
♦
tance between the tip of the drill bit i
and the tip of the depth stop w corre-
sponds with the required drilling depth.
You can read the drilling depth from the
♦
scale on the depth stop w. To do this,
subtract the value displayed on the right
of the depth stop w (e.g. 16 cm) from
the end of the scale (20 cm). The drilling
depth is then 4 cm (see Fig. 1).
