Meaning of the control indicators on the
charger (16):

Operation
Inserting and removing the
battery
WARNING! Risk of injury due to
unintentional start-up. Only insert the re-
chargeable battery into the device once
the device is fully prepared for use.
NOTICE! Risk of damage! An incorrect
battery can damage the device and bat-
tery.
Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (5) along the guide in-
to the battery holder in the handle (7).
You will hear the battery click into
place.
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release (6)
on the battery (5).
2. Remove the battery from the handle
(7).
Switching on and off

1. Select the direction of rotation with the
rotation direction switch (4).
2. Select a gear with the gear selector
switch (3).

3. Select a maximum torque or drilling
with the torque adjustment ring (2).
4. Press and hold the On/off switch (8).
The LED work light (10) lights up.
Switching off
1. To turn it off, release the on/off switch
(8).
The LED work light (10) remains lit for
about 10 seconds.
2. Wait until the power tool has stopped
before placing it down.
3. When taking a break: Set the direc-
tion of rotation switch (4) to the centre.
These safety measures prevent acci-
dentally starting the power tool.
4. Remove the rechargeable battery (5)
from the device if you are leaving the
device unattended or if you have fin-
ished working.
Drilling in hardwood
This is how you proceed when drilling lar-
ger diameter holes in hardwood:
1. Pre-drill in 1st gear with a small drill
bit.
2. Extend to the desired drill diameter
with a larger drill bit.
Transport
Information on transporting the device:
• Switch off the device and remove the
battery (5). Make sure that all moving
parts have come to a complete stop.
• Remove the attachment tool.
• Always carry the device by the handle
(7).
