7.1 Note on operating the device
Both the VOL/STANDBY rotary control and the SELECT/SNOOZE
Control dials can be turned and pressed.

Press the SELECT/SNOOZE control dial: Select / OK / Snooze Turn the
SELECT/SNOOZE control dial: P+/- or ▲ ▼.
8 Initial setup
After switching on the DIGITRADIO 4 IR for the first time, you must first select the
operating language and can then start the initial setup wizard.
All settings can also be changed at a later date at any time via the menu.
Use ▲ / ▼ to select the operating language and confirm with OK.

To start the initial setup wizard, select the [YES] field with ▲ / ▼ on the

remote control and press the OK button.
In the next step, you can select the time format. Select the desired setting

[12] or [24] and press the OK button to move to the next step.

Here you can select which source (DAB+, FM or Internet) the DIGITRADIO 4
IR uses to obtain and update the time and date.
If you have selected Update from Internet, you must select the time zone
in the next step so that the time is displayed correctly. Then specify whether
summer time or winter time is current at the time of setting.

In the next step, you can specify whether the USB charging function should be
activated. This can be used to charge a connected smartphone, for example.
However, this also increases the power consumption. Select [Yes] or [No]
and press the OK button to move to the next setting.

You can now specify whether the DIGITRADIO 4 IR should remain connected to
the Internet even in standby mode. This can be advantageous for app control
(TechniSat Connect app), for example. However, t h i s also increases the
power consumption in standby mode. Select [Yes] or [No] and press the OK
button to move to the next setting.
