Voltage course on the accumulator and the alteration speed derived from it
• An accumulator which is required as quickly as possible can be removed now already. The
accumulator is charged to about 90% to 95%.
• Now follows the 2-hour transition charging phase to put the already 90 % to 95 %-charged
accumulator to 100 % of the storable capacity. The yellow LED "Erhaltung" flashes (="retain").
To obtain a general view as to how long the transition charging has already run, the time
is counted down in the LC display during this time.
After the transition charging has been completed, the accumulator has taken up the maximum
storable energy. The fully charged accumulator is displayed by a filled accumulator symbol in the
display. In figure 4 above, this point of time is designated as "charge end".
• Then the phase of unlimited retention charging follows. This is for the natural self-discharge of
NiCd and NiMH accumulators.
Although this function of the accumulator can be connected for a longer period, you
should disconnect it now and then switch off the charging station.
