6. Notes about accumulators!

• Please observe the information of the accumulator manufacturer as to whether the
accumulator can be charged quickly. For the maximum possible C rate, please
observe the information of the manufacturers about charging rates and charging
currents!
• Batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• For connecting the accumulator to the charging device, use cables which are as short
as possible but which have a sufficient cross-section. Through the high charging
current, there is the risk of the cable overheating and, through this, the risk of fire!
• Make sure that the accumulator is well-contacted and only use high-quality plugs and
connections. Otherwise, high transitional resistances can occur which can lead to a
poor charging process or to termination of the charging process.
• Never confuse the poles of the accumulator.
• Make sure that the batteries are not shorted, taken apart or thrown into fire, There is
a risk of explosion!
• There may not be any protective diode in the accumulator pack! If there is, no Reflex
charging is possible and the accumulator heats up so strongly that the accumulator
is damaged.
• If you put an accumulator pack together yourself, there may only be accumulator cells
of the same capacity, type and construction in it.
• The individual accumulators in an accumulator pack have to be arranged in a series-
parallel circuit.
• Never connect more than one accumulator/accumulator pack at the same time.
• Do not leave the batteries lying around in the open; there is the risk of their being
swallowed by children or domestic animals. If swallowed, contact a doctor immedi-
ately.
• If your skin comes into contact with leaking or damaged batteries, you may suffer
burns. For this reason you should use suitable protective gloves.
• When the charging process has been terminated, disconnect the accumulator from
the charging device. Then switch off the charging device and disconnect it from the
mains voltage.
