3.0 INSTALLATION
3.1 IMPORTANT WARNINGS
•
The installation of the appliance in the kitchen worktop must be carried out by a
qualified technician.
•
The veneer or any other finish of the kitchen cabinet in which the cooktop is installed
must be treated with a heat-resistant adhesive (up to 100°C). Otherwise, the finish of the
worktop may discolor or warp.
•
Ideally, the appliance should be installed with ample space on both sides. There may be
a wall at the back, and one side may have a tall unit or wall. However, there should not
be units or dividers taller than the appliance on the other side.
NOT ALLOWEDN
•
The distance between the edge of the appliance and the adjacent tall kitchen cabinet
element must not be less than 250 mm.
•
All dimensions and distances necessary for the proper functioning of the appliance are
shown in the figures below.
•
The cabinet element beneath the cooktop must not have a drawer. If the element is a
horizontal divider, it must be installed at least 20 mm from the bottom surface of the
appliance. The space between the divider and the appliance must remain empty; no
objects should be placed in that gap.
•
Wall-mounted or suspended units must be installed at a sufficient height to avoid
interfering with the cooking process.
•
It is crucial to maintain a minimum safety distance between the appliance and the
overhead hood. Refer to the user and installation instructions provided by the hood
manufacturer for further details. If you do not have the manufacturer's instructions, or
if there are flammable objects above the appliance (such as utensil racks, wall cabinets,
etc.), a minimum safety distance of at least 800 mm must be maintained.
•
Install the cabinets and hood before installing the appliance to avoid damaging it.
•
The front must have an opening of no less than 5 mm.
•
The appliance must not be installed above a refrigerator, fridge-freezer, freezer,
dishwasher, washing machine, washer-dryer, or dryer.
•
Only ovens equipped with a cooling fan may be installed beneath this appliance.
•
Before installing an oven, it is necessary to remove the back wall of the kitchen cabinet
element in the area where the appliance will be cut out. Additionally, a free space of at
least 5 mm must be left at the front.
