2. 4. 5 Korrekte Verwendung des HF-Geräts
Ein unbeabsichtigtes Aktivieren im nicht sichtbaren
Bereich des HF-Geräts kann den Patienten verletzen.
e Das HF-Gerät nur aktivieren, wenn die
Elektrode in Ihrem Sichtbereich ist und Sie das
HF-Gerät jederzeit rasch deaktivieren können.
e Das HF-Gerät nach unbeabsichtigtem Aktivieren
sofort am Standby-Taster ausschalten.
e Den Fußschalter oder den Handschalter immer
besonders aufmerksam bedienen.
Mangelnde Vorbereitung oder Fehler am HF-Gerät
können zur Beschädigung des HF-Geräts führen.
e Mit der automatischen Überwachungsfunktion
sicherstellen, dass das HF-Gerät fehlerfrei
arbeitet. Zu den automatischen Testfunktionen,
siehe Kapitel Funktionsprüfung, Seite 30.
e Sicherstellen, dass keine leitfähigen Flüssig-
keiten (z. B. Blut, Fruchtwasser) in Fußschalter
oder Handschalter eingedrungen sind.
e Sicherstellen, dass im Fuß- oder Handschalter-
Kabel kein Kurzschluss bzw. keine
Unterbrechung vorliegt.
2. 4. 6 Einstellung des HF-Geräts und
Verwendung des Zubehörs
Eine zu hoch gewählte Ausgangsleistung kann
den Patienten verletzen! Daher vor einer Erhöhung
der Ausgangsleistung prüfen, ob:
• die Neutralelektrode korrekt anliegt,
• die Arbeitselektroden sauber sind,
• die Steckverbindungen korrekt sind.
Ein offensichtlich geringer Ausgangswert oder
Funktionsausfall des HF-Chirurgiegeräts bei
üblichem Betrieb kann ein unzureichendes
Anliegen der Neutralelektrode oder unzureichen-
den Kontakt in ihren Verbindungen zur Ursache
haben. In diesem Fall das Anliegen der Neutral-
elektrode und ihrer Verbindungen überprüfen,
bevor eine höhere Ausgangsleistung gewählt wird.

Inadvertent activation of the HF device outside the
user's field of vision can injure the patient.
e Activate the HF device only when the electrode
is in your field of vision and you can quickly
deactivate the HF device at all times.
e If the HF device is activated inadvertently, switch
it off immediately using the Standby button.
e Take particular care when using a footswitch or
manual switch.
Improper preparation or errors in the HF device
can cause damage to the HF device.
e Use the automatic monitoring functions to
ensure that the HF device is working properly.
See the section Test for proper functioning,
page 30 for information on the automatic test
functions.
e Ensure that no conductive fluids (e.g. blood or
amniotic fluid) have penetrated the footswitch
or the manual switch.
e Ensure that the cables for the footswitch and
the manual switch are free from short circuits
and broken leads.
2. 4. 6 Configuring HF device settings
and using accessories
Setting the output power too high can injure the
patient! Therefore, before you increase the output
power, ensure that:
• the neutral electrode is attached properly;
• the working electrodes are clean;
• the plug connections are all correct.
A clearly lower output value or functional failure
of the HF surgical unit during normal operation
can be due to insufficient attachment of the
neutral electrode or insufficient contact in the
connections. In this case, check attachment of
the neutral electrode and the connections before
selecting a higher output power.

Una activación involuntaria en la zona no visible del
aparato de AF puede provocar lesiones al paciente.
e Active el aparato de AF solo cuando el
electrodo se encuentre dentro de su campo
visual y usted pueda desactivar el aparato de
AF rápidamente en cualquier momento.
e Si el aparato de AF se ha activado
accidentalmente, desconéctelo de inmediato
usando el pulsador de standby.
e Utilice el interruptor de pedal o el interruptor
manual siempre con la mayor atención.
En caso de preparación deficiente o errores en el
aparato de AF, el aparato de AF puede resultar
deteriorado.
e La función de monitorización automática le permi-
te asegurarse de que el aparato de AF funcione
correctamente. Puede consultar información sobre
las funciones automáticas de prueba en el capítu-
lo Prueba de funcionamiento en la pág. 30.
e Asegúrese de que no haya penetrado ningún líqui-
do conductor (p. ej., sangre o líquido amniótico)
en el interruptor de pedal o el interruptor manual.
e Compruebe que el cable del interruptor de
pedal o del interruptor manual no presente
ningún cortocircuito o interrupción.
2. 4. 6 Configuración del aparato de AF y
empleo de los accesorios
Si la potencia de salida ajustada es demasiado eleva-
da, el paciente puede sufrir lesiones. Por ello, antes
de aumentar la potencia de salida, compruebe si:
• el electrodo neutro asienta correctamente,
• los electrodos de trabajo están limpios.
• las conexiones están enchufadas correctamente.
Si el valor de salida es demasiado bajo o se
produce un fallo de funcionamiento del aparato
quirúrgico de AF en el servicio habitual, ello puede
deberse a un asiento insuficiente del electrodo
neutro o a un contacto insuficiente de sus cone-
xiones. En este caso, compruebe el asiento del
electrodo neutro y sus conexiones antes de selec-
cionar una potencia de salida más alta.
