5. Remove pipe plug from top of exciter housing. Tilt housing upside down so oil drains from exciter.
Examine oil for metal chips as a precaution to future problems.
6. Return plate housing to the upright position.

7. Fill the exciter housing with exciter oil.
Do not overfill - overfilling can result in excessive temperatures in the exciter.
