1.4 Cautions
1.4.1 Instrument operation
CAUTION! Exceeding the recommended current limit of 50 µA per IPG strip
can cause the strip to burn and may damage the instrument.
CAUTION! During isoelectric focusing, do not lean on the safety lid, do not
apply excess pressure or uneven weight to the lid, and do not place any items
on the lid. Such pressure could cause arcing between the strip holder
electrodes and the electrode areas, damaging the instrument.
CAUTION! Operate Ettan IPGphor 3
CAUTION! Avoid scratching the electrode areas.
CAUTION! Only use strip holders, manifolds, and spare parts supplied or
specified by GE Healthcare.
