Note: The exhaust valve should open for kart operation at the engine speed of 7500
r.p.m.
Note: The correct setting of the opening time of the exhaust valve has to be determined
at kart operation.

Note: In the basic setting, the adjustment screw (item 15) is turned in so far that it is flush
with the valve cover (item 14, fig. 9). This setting is in most cases the best.
Note: If the exhaust valve should open before 7500 r.p.m. the opening time of the
exhaust valve can be shifted to a slightly higher engine speed by turning the
adjustment screw further in.
Note: If the exhaust valve does not open until the engine speed of 7500 r.p.m. has been
reached, the opening time can be adjusted to a slightly lower speed by turning
adjustment screw (item 15) outwards.
