7.2.4 Adjusting the tolerance level of the valve voltage
For different valve series, the threshold 20.4 V and 21.6 V can be adjusted.
In the delivery state, the threshold is set to 21.6 V (10 %).
If the supply voltage for the valve control falls below the specified threshold, a di-
agnostic message will be generated. See
Procedure
Use switches S3.7 and S3.8 to adjust the tolerance level.

Procedure
With self-assembled cabling:
1. Establish the correct pin assignment of the plug connection. See
and
parameters.
2. Connect the bus cable to X71.
3. Connect the module to a switch if further participants are to be connected.
Connections X71 and X72 are equivalent.
For self-assembled cables and plugs with metal housing:
1. Connect the shield on both sides of the bus cable directly to the plug housing
(EMC housing).
2. Make sure that the plug housing is firmly connected to the bus coupler hous-
ing.
7.2.6 Assigning the valve supply
Notes
• The valve groups (4 valves or 8 valves) are assigned via the slide switches. This
makes it possible, e.g., to switch off before emergency OFF or after emer-
gency OFF.
• For bus couplers with 7/8" plug: power supply is predefined via a plug connec-
tion (B) and cannot be set on the bus coupler.
Procedure
For bus coupler with M12 plug:
1. Open lower screw cap B.
2. Use the slide switches S4, S5, S6 and S7 to assign one of the two supply volt-
ages UQ1 or UQ2 to each valve group.
In the delivery state, all valves are assigned to voltage UQ1.
