Intended use

 The ATMOS LC 16 is used in medical ranges for the
suction of secretions and body fluids.
 Special medical ranges for applying this unit are:
• Ambulant and home care of old people for spontane-
ous suction of mucus from the respiratory tract;
• first aid posts, ambulance stations, wards, old people's
and nursing homes;
• military infirmaries, field hospitals;
• persons who require on-going removal of secretion
from the Trachea.
 The suction hose must never come into direct contact
with the application site. A suction catheter, attachment
or a medical aspiration set must always be connected to
the hose.
 The ATMOS LC 16 may not be used:
• for drainages in low vacuum range (e.g. thoracic
drainages) and for suction procedures outside
medical ranges;
• for the suction of inflammable, corrosive or explo-
sive fluids/gases.
