Filling the tank

1. Turn the tank approx. 45° clockwise and remove it.
(Not required when putting into service for the first
time).

DANGER
Danger to life and risk of serious illness through the
use of unsuitable disinfectants or incorrect concen-
tration, dosage or contact time!
If unsuitable disinfectants are used for the application,
or if disinfectants are applied in too low a concentration
or amount, or if the specified contact times are not ad-
hered to, then their effectiveness can be reduced or
completely lost.
Use only suitable disinfectants, and follow all the manu-
facturer's instructions for use, mixing ratio, dosage and
contact time.
2. Squeeze the round bottle in the middle until the re-
quired amount of disinfectant has flowed into the
dosing head.
Illustration F
Take the following into account:
a The specifications of the detergent manufacturer
for the mixing ratio of disinfectant and fresh water
b the corresponding scale on the dosing head
c the capacity of the tank
3. Open the cover on the dosing head.
4. Fill the disinfectant into the tank.
Illustration G
5. Close the cover on the dosing head.
6. Fill the tank with clean fresh water (max. 40°C) until
a disinfectant solution is mixed in the required con-
centration.
Fill the fresh water at most up to the MAX mark
shown.

7. Place the tank on the device and turn it approx. 45°
counterclockwise.

Vent the device
ATTENTION
Risk of damage from dry running!
When operating the device with or without an empty
tank, there is a risk of damage from the pump running
dry.
Only operate the device as long as the tank is attached
to the device, and there is disinfectant solution or fresh
water in the tank.
1. Vent the device before using it for the first time and
if necessary.
Illustration J
2. Hold the device so that the nozzle is pointing up-
wards at an angle of approx. 45° and not at yourself
or a third party.
3. Press the ON / OFF button.
The device switches on.
Operate the device until the disinfectant solution
emerges from the nozzle in the form of an uninter-
rupted, finely atomized spray cone.
The device is now ready for use.

General notes on operation

ATTENTION
Risk of damage due to moisture!
When applying disinfectant solution to moisture-sensi-
tive surfaces, there is a risk of damage and changes in
colour.
Before using the device, find out whether the surfaces
to be treated are resistant to disinfectant solutions.
Before using the device, check the surfaces to be treat-
ed in an inconspicuous place for resistance to the disin-
fectant solution.
Do not apply the disinfectant solution to moisture-sensi-
tive surfaces such as wallpaper, untreated wood or pa-
per.
● The disinfectant solution should be applied by a
steady pendulum movement of the device, at a
speed similar to the application of spray paint.
Work from top to bottom on vertical and sloping sur-
faces.
● Switch on the electrostatic charge of the disinfectant
solution in order to optimize the film formation and
adhesion to sloping, vertical or difficult to reach sur-
faces. To do this, press the ON / OFF switch for
electrostatic charging on the top of the unit to the
"Blitz" position. Press to position "0" to switch off.
Illustration L
Note
Be sure to touch the ground contact on the ON / OFF
button.
Do not wear insulating, but rather electrostatically dissi-
pative gloves and shoes in accordance with EN ISO
20344 with an insulation resistance of max. 100 MΩ,
otherwise the device will not be earthed, and the elec-
trostatic charge will not function.
To achieve an optimal electrostatic effect, the potential
equalisation can optionally be carried out by means of a
functional earthing, see chapter Earth the unit (option-
al).
● If the capacity of the battery pack is almost exhaust-
ed, the device switches off.
Note
In order to avoid a damaging exhaustive discharge of
the battery pack, the device switches itself off before the
battery pack is completely discharged.
Take the battery pack out of the unit and charge it,
see chapter Ending operation.
● In the event of work interruptions, before transport
and after the end of work, press the locking button.
The ON / OFF button is locked, and the unit is pro-
tected against unintentional switching on.
Illustration M
Earth the unit (optional)
To optimise the electrostatic effect, the unit can be
earthed. To do this, use the optionally available sets,
see chapters Description of the device and Spare parts
list.
1. Plug the earthing plug into an earthed socket.
Illustration N
2. Connect the earthing cable to the earthing plug.
3. Connect the earthing cable to the earthing connec-
tion.
Note
To extend the operating radius of the unit if necessary,
connect another earthing cable using the adapter as
shown.
