This user manual applies to the Kongskilde
RVS Separator model RVS 5000H, 10000H and
20000H.
The target group for this manual are operators, (electri-
cal) installers as well as maintenance and service staff.
Description:
The product is a separator designed to separate
conveying air from paper, cardboard, plastics or light
metal. The separator is driven by and directly coupled
to an electric geared motor. The rotor in the separator
is attached to the shaft of the geared motor, the mo-
mentum is transferred to the separators housing via a
momentum arm, and connected to a flanged bearing at
the opposite end.
The rotor is supplied with replaceable rubber blades,
sealing segments and plastic edges. Furthermore, one
of the rotors´ 7 rubber blades is supplemented with a
scraper blade, which cleans the separator's sieve for
deposited material.

Typical application:
Separation of paper, card board and plastic materials.
The separator is not designed for moist or sticky mate-
rials, or hard materials and sheet thicknesses above 3
mm.
The separator can not be used to transport an endless
material, as this will block the rotor, and in worst case
destroy the separator.
In plants where endless strips are sucked from a pro-
duction plant, it is important to ensure, by frequent
inspection, that the cutter cuts efficiently, so that the
strips are cut into small pieces before the material ar-
rives at the separator.
If strips are sucked from plants that produce end-
less strips in different material thicknesses, especially
where thin strips are also involved, it may be recom-
mended to consider a solution, where two cutters are
mounted parallel in the suction line, between separator
and suction point.
Material can be routed via suction pipes and dampers
to be sucked through either one or the other cutter.
One branch is chosen for the thin material and the
other for the thicker material. In this way, the intervals
between the need for grinding of the cutters can be
increased, hereby reducing total service time.
