12 Appendix E Restoring the BD Factory Defaults in the BD Veritor™
InfoWiFi Barcode Scanner
This appendix is only applicable to BD Veritor™ InfoWiFi modules bearing serial numbers beginning
with the characters TW. If either of the following barcode formats are required, the following
instructions allow their addition.
• Interleaved 2 of 5 between 2 and 54 digits and
• Codabar
This update is not required for units bearing serial numbers beginning with the
characters JB.
The serial number is found next to the SN symbol on the underside of the module.

12.1 General Instructions

Restoring the BD Factory Defaults in the BD Veritor™ InfoWiFi is a 2-step process, which requires
shutting down and then restarting the BD Veritor™ Plus Analyzer. Before you begin this process,
carefully read these instructions to the end and then print them out on white paper for use in the
steps requiring scanning of barcodes.
When scanning the configuration barcodes, aim the scanner so that
the red light extends at least 15 mm (0.5 in.) on both sides of the
