19. Changing the joystick assignment

The steering functions shown in Figure 10 to Figure 13 with the associated joystick assignments correspond to the
widely used remote control mode II. However, some model operators prefer mode I, in which the right joystick controls
the pitch function and the left joystick controls the bob function.
To switch the transmitter to mode I and operate the helicopter, proceed as follows:
With the transmitter switched off, press and hold down the
push-button for beginner/expert mode (see also Figure 1,
no. 13).
With the button held down, switch the transmitter on using
the on/off switch (see also Figure 1, no. 7). Then release
the push-button for the remote control mode switching.
Now insert the helicopter battery into the helicopter.
Then move the right joystick (see also Figure 1, no. 4) up,
then down and then back to the middle position.
If you have done everything correctly, the transmitter is
now in mode I. The model is linked to the transmitter and
ready to use.
Instead of "L.H" (see Figure 2, no. 2), "R.H" is now dis-
played for control mode I to the left of the battery indicator.
The swashplate then responds with tilting movements
forwards and backwards when the left joystick is moved
up or down.
Attention!
Mode switching affects not only the function
of the joysticks. The trimming function is also
switched over.
The two left push-buttons (see Figure 1, nos. 8 and 9) are now used to set the bob trim. The push-buttons
on the right (see Figure 1, no. 6) take over the take-off and landing functions in mode I.
