3. Installation and electrical connection
Attention! Risk of injury from electric shock!
Only perform connection when free of voltage!
The drive is only functional when installed.

3.1. Installation of the drive into the shaft

1. Determine which crown and coupling are to be used according to the shaft size (Fig. 1).
2. Push the crown over the shaft and position it precisely on the drive head.
3. Push on the coupling and plug in the coupling locking device (article number 288500)
(Fig. 2).

* The coupling is secured with a ring on series 3 drives (locking ring according to
DIN 471-20x1,20 FST, article number 940516). Special locking ring pliers for shafts with eye-
let size < 2 mm are required to fix the locking ring!
4. Push the drive into the shaft to form a positive connection. The drive must not be subject-
ed to any impacts. The crown and coupling adapters must not have any play inside the
shaft.
5. If required, secure the drive axially, e.g. by screwing the shaft to the coupling adapter. Do
not drill holes into the drive area!
6. Attach the shaft with the drive and the shaft cap in the bearings. Do not bend the motor
cable and aerial and lay them so that neither the cable nor the aerial can be damaged. Do
not lay the aerial parallel to the motor cable.
The aerial must not be shortened or extended. To prevent water from entering the drive,
lay the motor cable bending downwards so that any water can drain off.
7. Attach the shutter to the shaft.
