3.2. Supporting the drive

In general, SELVE drives can be supported on the external contour of the motor head or by
means of an inserted square spindle. Different motor brackets are available for both support-
ing methods.
Different flanges or mounting plates can also be pre-screwed in place. If a square spindle is
being used, there must be a mechanical stop behind the motor bearing to prevent axial
movement of the spindle.
Attention! The SE Breeze-com 2/30, 2/40 and 2/50 drives must not be mounted with the
plug-in square spindle, article number 930285!
If the motor head is screwed directly to a head piece or a flange is pre-screwed in place,al-
ways use the outer screw holes (with a spacing of 48 mm) for series 2 drives!
The inner screw holes (29 mm spacing) are not able to transmit torque. As the outer screw
holes do not have a thread, special screws must be used.Series 1 drives only have 2 screw
holes (29 mm spacing), which can also be used.
Please use the following screw types:
• Series 2 plastic: self-tapping screw KN 1033 STS 50x14-Z
• Series 2 metal: self-tapping screw KN 3041 SLS L40x12 T20
• SE.. series 1: screw DIN 965 M5 x 10
