Pre-Defined Tea Programs

The appliance offers 5 pre-defined tea programs with optimized temperature and
steeping time for the dedicated types of tea (see the following table). Before starting
the selected program, you may change the pre-defined values as you like. In this
case, operation is performed according to your settings.
NOTE
Any new entered values will be lost, when calling up another program, and the
pre-defined settings are active again. When using the pre-defined tea programs,
you need to enter your individual values again, before starting the program. If you
wish to use your settings later on again, you should select a user-defined program
(see below: 'User-Defined Programs').

User-Defined Programs

With the user-defined programs 1 to 4 you can select temperature and steeping time
as you like. In opposite to the pre-defined tea programs, the appliance keeps your
settings permanently in memory. When recalling the user-defined program later on,
your previously set values will be active already. Therefore, you can start the pro-
gram without making any further entries.

NOTE
Even after the automatic shut-off or when disconnecting the appliance from the
power supply, the user-defined values will be kept (see: 'Automatic Shut-Off').
Therefore, there is no reason for keeping the appliance live, when it is not in use.
IMPORTANT - When entering new values, any former settings will be lost, and
your new settings will be kept. Press the FAV./CUS. button for toggling between
the user-defined programs and pre-defined tea programs. The desired program is
selected via the selection buttons – or +.

AUTOMATIC EXTRACTION

For preparing tea, the provided filter system (tea infuser and infuser cover) should
be used always. The infuser cover is completely assembled with magnet holder and
pusher for automatic operation. When using any other filter system, automatic extrac-
tion is not possible. The magnet holder of the infuser cover fits perfectly into the lid
ring of the appliance, closing the kettle tightly. Therefore, the flavours of your tea are
kept. Via automatic brewing, the appliance can make your tea without any interventi-
on by the user. You do not need to pay attention to reaching the desired temperature
or keeping the correct steeping time. When the set temperature is reached within
the kettle, the cantilever of the appliance lowers the tea infuser automatically into the
water. Via the automatic steeping function (AUTO STEEP button is illuminated), the
tea infuser can be lifted up and lowered down several times for ensuring that the
ingredients in the tea infuser are mixed and moistened completely and thoroughly,
for getting the perfect extraction of flavours. Otherwise, the tea infuser stays within
the water up to the end of the steeping time.
IMPORTANT - While "BASKET" is shown on the display, you should remove the
kettle from the power base shortly and replace the filter system with the lid. The-
reafter, place the kettle back onto the power base for keeping your tea warm.
When the kettle is not replaced within 5 minutes, the appliance shuts off com-
pletely and the display gets dark, cancelling the keep warm function (see: 'Keep
Warm Function').
IMPORTANT - You may activate or deactivate automatic steeping, before starting
any program via the TEA button. For this, simply press the AUTO STEEP button.
Automatic steeping is activated, when the AUTO STEEP button is illuminated. In this
case, the cantilever moves up and down several times during steeping for ensuring
an optimized extraction.
