Repeat this process twice in intervals approx. 10 seconds each. Immerse the steam nozzle at the end of
the steam dispenser into the milk. Now re-open the steam valve and heat or froth the liquid. Switch off the
steam function.
Caution!
Always keep the steam nozzle underneath the surface of the liquid while heating or
frothing to avoid injury from the steam.
Advice
After frothing the milk, release the steam into the drip tray to keep the steam nozzle holes
clean.
Clean the steam nozzle and the steam dispenser after every use with a damp cloth to
remove possible liquid residues.
Attention: Be careful while cleaning the steam dispenser. Avoid skin contact (danger of
injury).
Important
Refill the boiler with water after frothing the milk.
To reduce the boiler temperature in preparation for coffee, ensure the steam is turned off a place an
adequate container (with a heat-insulated handle) under the brew group. Press the coffee button and
leave on until there is no more steam. Check the temperature on the PID to ensure it is low enough to
begin coffee preparation.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Regular and accurate care is very important for the performance, the longevity and the operational safety
of your machine.
Caution!
Always switch off the machine (power switch in lower position), disconnect the power cord
and let the machine cool down to room temperature (for at least 30 minutes) before
cleaning.
Never submerse the machine in water. There is a risk of electric shock.

7.1 General cleaning

Daily cleaning:
Portafilter, filters, water tank and drip tray require daily cleaning. Clean with water and/or with a food safe
detergent.
Clean the shower screen and the group gasket in the lower part of the brew group and remove visible dirt
without dissasembling the parts using a hard cleaning brush.
Portafilter, drip tray and water tank are not suitable for the dish washer.
Cleaning as necessary:
Clean the steam valve after every use.
Clean the body when the machine is switched off and cold.
Depending on usage, please refresh the boiler water every 1– 2 weeks by operating the coffee button and
extracting about 0.7 l of hot water from the steam wand.
Use a soft and damp cloth for cleaning.
Never use abrasive or chloric detergents!
Empty the water drip tray regularly and do not wait until it is full.
