4. Safety Information

In case of damage caused by not complying with these safety instructions the guarantee will
be rendered void. We do not assume any responsibility for consequential damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper use
or failure to observe the safety instructions. Any claim to warranty will lapse in such cases!
Dear Customer, the following safety notices are intended not only for the protection of the device but also
for the protection of your health. Please read the following points carefully:
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for safety and
approval reasons (CE).
• All persons operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this device must be quali-
fied appropriately and observe these operating instructions.
• The device complies with protection class I. Only a proper mains outlet (100V~ - 240V~ / 50 - 60Hz)
of the public supply net may be used as voltage source.
• To make sure the device is set up properly, please also follow these operating instructions.
• Make sure the mains cable is not squashed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or otherwise subjec-
ted to mechanical strain. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable through extreme heat
or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise, the mains cable could be damaged. A damaged
mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
• If the mains cable is damaged, do not touch it. First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g.
via the circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug out of the mains socket carefully. Separate the
mains cable from the device. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• In order to completely separate the device from the mains, you have to pull the mains plug out of
the wall socket. It is not sufficient to turn the device off with the on/off switch.
• This product is not a toy, and not suitable for children. Children cannot judge the dangers involved
when handling electrical devices.
• Keep the product away from pets!
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or put objects filled with liquid on top of them (e. g.
vases). Never place small objects, e.g. coins, paper clips etc., on the device as these could fall into
the device. This would cause a serious danger of fire or electric shock. Should liquid penetrate the
device nonetheless, cut off the power supply to the relevant mains socket (e.g. via the circuit breaker)
and pull the mains plug out of the mains socket. Disconnect all cables from the device. After that, the
product must no longer be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
