6. Connections and Control Elements

STEREO CHANNELS

1) Stereo inputs
The stereo channel is equipped with two symmetrical (balanced) 6.3mm LINE plug-in sockets to
which a device with a STEREO-LINE output can be connected. This socket can also be connected
to an asymmetric (unbalanced) plug. In this case, keep the cables short so prevent the danger of
outside interferences.
If you want to use the channel as a mono channel, only use the L (MONO)
socket. The channel is now working as a mono channel
2) LEVEL switch
The LEVEL switch is used for adjusting the home recording (-10 dBV) and studio (+4 dBu) levels.
3) Equalizer
Every stereo channel equipped with a 3-band stereo equaliser. With the controller HIGH, MID and LOW, you can
increase or decrease the treble, middle and bass notes of the respective input signal. The control range is bet-
ween +/-15dB (12kHz / 2,5kHz / 80Hz). IN controller position "0" the sound is played back neutrally.
4) AUX 1 control and AUX 2 (FX) control
The AUX control functions of the stereo channel and mono channel are identical. The AUX SEND signals of the
stereo channel are mixed into one mono signal, since further AUX SEND processing is done in mono.
5) Channel fader, BAL control, MUTE/ALT 3-4 and SOLO switch
The BAL control works as the PAN control in the mono channels, except that it is only done in stereo. The func-
tions of the channel fader, CLIP LED, MUTE LED, MUTE/ALT 3-4 – and SOLO switch are identical to that of the
mono channel.

AUX SENDS

1) AUX SEND 1 MASTER control
The AUX SEND 1 MASTER control serves as master control for the AUX SEND 1 socket.
This control is used to set the overall level for all AUX 1 signals at the AUX SEND 1 socket.
2) AUX SEND 2 (FX) MASTER control
The AUX SEND 2 (FX) MASTER control serves as master control for the AUX SEND 2
socket. This control is used to set the overall level for all AUX 2 signals at the AUX SEND 2
socket and the effect signal input.
