6 .6 THROTTLE AND CHOKE CONTROL (8:I)
A control for regulating the engine speed and
using the choke when starting the engine in cold
conditions.
If the engine runs unevenly (alternate
variation in the number of engine revs)
the control may be too far forward, thus
activating the choke . This damages the
engine, increases fuel consumption
and is harmful to the environment .
1 . Choke – for starting the engine in cold
conditions. The full choke position is in the
front part of the groove. Do not use this po-
sition when the engine is warm.
2 . Full throttle – should always be used
when the machine is in use. The full throttle
position is approximately 2 cm behind the
choke off position.
3 . Idling .
6 .7 IGNITION (8:L)
The ignition block is used for starting and stopping
the engine.
Do not leave the ignition key in position
2 or 3 when you leave the driving seat.
There is a risk of fire (fuel can run into the
engine through the carburettor) and the
battery may go flat and get damaged.
The three ignition key positions:
1 . Stop position – the engine is short-cir-
cuited. The key can be removed.
2 . Operating position

3 . Start position – the electric starter mo-
tor is activated when the key is turned to this
position. Once the engine has started, let
go of the key which will return to operating
position 2.
6 .8 POWER TAKE-OFF (9:D)
Switch for engaging and disengaging the elec-
tromagnetic PTO used to activate front-mounted
accessories.
The PTO must never be engaged when
the front accessory lift is in the tran-
sport position. This will destroy the belt
drive .
ENGLISH
The switch has two positions:
1 . Engaged - to engage the PTO press the
front part of the switch. If the light is on it
means the PTO is engaged.
2 . Disengaged - to disengage the PTO
press the rear part of the switch. If the light
is off it means the PTO is disengaged.

CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

Indicates the minimum cutting height. It is display-
ed when the cutting-means assembly is set to the
washing position and during assembly and disas-
sembly of the same
6 .9 .1 Manual adjustment - mod.: [320] (8:H)
The cutting height can be set in 9 fixed positions
using the relative lever.
For a standard cutting height, set the lever on
position 1.
6 .9 .2 CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT (9:D)
The machine is equipped with a control for using
the cutting device with electrical cutting height
adjustment.
The switch allows the user to continuously
adjust the cutting height.
The cutting deck is connected to the contact
(13:B).
6 .10 TRANSMISSION ENGAGE/DISENGAGE
LEVER (10:A)
A lever for disengaging the variable transmission.
The disengagement lever must never
be between the outer and inner posi-
tions . This overheats and damages the
transmission .
The levers allow the user to move the machine
manually (pushing or pulling), without the engine
running.
The two positions are:
2 . Transmission disengaged - Lever out (10:
A1). The machine can be moved by hand.
The machine must not be towed over long distan-
ces or at high speeds. The transmission could be
damaged.

operation - Lever in (10: A2).
