Updating the AV-HS450 software version

This board will not work if the software version of the AV-HS450 is below "2.00.00".
If it is, be absolutely sure to update the version.
 An SD memory card is required for updating the AV-HS450 software version.
 Be absolutely sure to ask your dealer to do the job of updating the AV-HS450
software version for you.
The steps to take to update the AV-HS450 software version are described below.
Have the following available when you are ready to update the version:
 A personal computer
 A CD-ROM drive (if the PC does not have one)
 An SD memory card reader (if the PC does not have one)
 An SD memory card
Concerning the recommended SD memory cards and SDHC memory cards
Use of the following SD memory cards and SDHC memory cards made by Panasonic is
recommended:
SDHC memory cards RP-SDM04G, RP-SDM06G, RP-SDM08G, RP-SDM12G,
RP-SDM16G
RP-SDV04G, RP-SDV08G, RP-SDV16G, RP-SDV32G
SD memory cards RP-SD128B, RP-SD256B
RP-SDR512
RP-SDM01G, RP-SDM02G
RP-SDV512, RP-SDV01G, RP-SDV02G
SD memory card handling precautions
 Do NOT eject the SD memory card while the SD memory card access LED is lighted.
 When an SD memory card is ejected while the SD memory card access LED is lighted, the
data stored on the SD memory card may be lost. In addition, the software version will not be
updated correctly, and the switcher may fail to operate.
 When an SD memory card is initialized, all the data stored on it will be erased.
Make sure that you first save any valuable data on a personal computer or other device before
initializing the SD memory card.

Updating the AV-HS450 software version
1. Checking the AV-HS450 software version
Check whether you need to update the AV-HS450 software version.
 Press the [SYSTEM] button to light its indicator, and display the SYSTEM menu.
 Turn [F1] to display the MainVer sub menu.

Note
Proceed to update the AV-HS450 software version only when a version below
"2.00.00" is displayed for the SysVer item.
If "2.00.00" or a higher version is displayed for the SysVer item, do not update the
version.
2. Initializing the SD memory card
Have ready an SD memory card onto which the version up software is to be copied.
In order to use the SD memory card, be absolutely sure to initialize it using the AV-HS450.
When the SD memory card is initialized, it is formatted (in conformity with the SD
standard), and dedicated folders are created.
Notes
 When the SD memory card is initialized, all the data stored on it will be erased.
Make sure that you first save any valuable data on a personal computer or other
device before initializing the card.
 Operation may not be performed properly if you use an SD memory card which
has not been initialized using the AV-HS450.
