e) Switching the transmitter and model boat on or off

To avoid unpredictable behaviour of the model boat drive, always follow the correct procedure when switching the
model boat on or off:
Switching on
• First switch on the transmitter and then move the slide switch (section 7, no. 19) to the "ON" position. The power
LED (section 7, no. 18) must light up. If this is not the case, check whether the batteries are inserted with the correct
polarity or whether they are empty.
If the red power LED on the transmitter flashes, the batteries are weak or empty. Replace the depleted
batteries with new ones.
• If you have not already done so, connect the model
boat's drive battery to the matching "BATTERY" socket
(1).
• Switch on the model boat using the "POWER" on/off
switch (2) (switch position "ON"). A power LED on the
model boat lights up (the LED is somewhat hidden
above the "OUTPUT" socket).
If the power LED flashes, no transmitter signal was found. In this case, check whether the transmitter is
switched on and fully functional.
• The transmitter is automatically connected to the model boat and then the model boat responds to the control
commands from the transmitter.
• Replace the cover (section 7, no. 2) correctly and close it until it clicks into place. The model boat is now ready for
use.
If the position LEDs on the model boat flash, the drive battery is weak or empty. Terminate operation and
fully charge the drive battery before restarting the model boat.
Switching off
• When opening the cover (section 7, no. 2), make sure that water does not get inside the boat.
• Switch off the model boat using the "POWER" on/off switch (switch position "OFF").
• Disconnect the drive battery from the model boat by pulling the drive battery round plug out of the "BATTERY"
socket.
• Switch off the transmitter and then move the slide switch (section 7, no. 19) on the transmitter to the "OFF" position.
