9 TEDS transducer identification
TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) allows you to store the rated outputs
of a sensor in a chip as per IEEE 1451.4. The U10 can be delivered with
TEDS, which is then fitted in the transducer housing, connected and supplied
with data by HBM before delivery.
If the force transducer is ordered with a manufacturing certificate, the rated
outputs from the manufacturing certificate are stored in the TEDS chip; if an
additional DKD calibration is ordered, the calibration results are also stored in
the TEDS chip.
The chip content can be edited and modified with suitable hardware and soft­
ware. This can be implemented, e.g. with the Quantum Assistant, as well as
the DAQ software CATMAN from HBM. Please follow the operating manuals of
these products.
