• The fluted side is typically used for sausages, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, slices of
meat, and bread. Your dishes get the typical grilling marks and the juices are
drained efficiently. The results are somewhat more crusty and aromatic.
• The heating elements of the appliance are mounted on top of the housing of the
appliance. During grilling the benefit of this design is a more even heat distributi-
on. However, when placing your food onto the grilling plates, you should prefer
the centre of the grilling plates.
• The grilling plates can be cleaned easily and are completely diswasher safe. The-
re are no grooves, where residues of food may burn in. A splash shield reduces
splashes near the grilling plates, therefore helping to keep the work space clean.
• For cleaning, the grilling plates are easily removed from the appliance. This helps
to protect the housing from dripping juices and water. Simply push the release
buttons and pull the grilling plates out.

AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL

During grilling, the appliance controls the temperature of the grilling plates automa-
tically. You can change the temperature setting any time you like.
The allocated control dials for the grilling plates are equipped with a heating indica-
tor, turning from red to blue and back during operation. This way, you can monitor
the heating process and recognize the correct moment for placing your food onto
the grilling plates.
• When increasing the temperature, the heating indicator starts red, while the heating
element is active. The set temperature is reached, when the colour changes to blue.
• When reducing the temperature, first the heating indicator is illuminated blue.
The new temperature is reached, when the colour turns to red. Power Switch The
appliance is equipped with a separate power switch at the rear of the housing.
Therefore, nobody can activate the heating elements unintentionally. Always
switch off the appliance at the power switch (position "O") and unplug, when the
appliance is not in use.
