Problem

CARE AND CLEANING

is very hot during operation and even some time thereafter. Turn the control dials
counter-clockwise to the "0" position, then switch off ("O") the power switch at the
rear and unplug the appliance from the power outlet. Let the appliance cool down
completely, before removing any parts of the appliance, and before moving or clea-
ning the appliance.
Avoid moving the complete appliance, while fat and juices may be in the drip tray
or on the grilling plates. Do not place the appliance or any parts of it on delicate
surfaces, even when they are cold.
Always clean the appliance after each use to avoid that residues of food dry on
the surfaces. During the next use, any residues may carbonize, burn in, or even
catch fire. Do not use any abrasive or corrosive chemicals (e.g. grill/oven clea-
ner, solvents), cleaning pads,, or any hard or sharp-edged objects for cleaning the
appliance or any part of it, because this could affect or damage the surfaces (e.g.
the non-stick coatings). Handle the splash shield with care to avoid damage to the
hinges. Do not use violence!
Do not immerse the housing or power cord into any liquids. Do not drip or spill any
liquids on the housing or power cord. Do not place the housing or power cord in
an automatic dishwasher. The grilling plates and drip tray may be cleaned in an
automatic dishwasher.
IMPORTANT - Dispose of fat and juices as compost or in a tightly closed vessel in
domestic waste. When pouring fat into the sink, the outlet pipe may get clogged..

Immediately switch off, unplug, and leave the appliance
cool down. Then clean the appliance, thoroughly remo-
ving any residues of food (see: 'Care and Cleaning').
If the non-stick coating of the grilling plate is damaged,
it must be replaced. Get in contact with your vendor. Do
not place any foreign objects on the grilling plate (e.g.
pots, cups, grilling utensils).
Immediately switch off and unplug the appliance. Under
supervision let the appliance cool down. Contact your
vendor for examination and repair.
