HIGH TEMPERATURES – RISK OF BURNS
The » Design Table Grill Plancha & BBQ « is designed for cooking food.
For this purpose, the grilling plates and heating elements are heated to
high temperature. Thus, improper handling could cause severe injuries
and damage. Please keep this in mind to avoid burns and damage.
• During operation and some time thereafter: The heating elements, gril-
ling plates, drip tray, splash shield, and housing of the appliance can
be very hot. Do not touch hot surfaces with any parts of your body or
any objects sensitive to heat, moisture, and fat. Only touch the appli-
ance and its parts at the operating elements. If required, protect your
hands and arms with oven gloves.
• Before operation: ALWAYS assemble the appliance completely
and correctly with BOTH grilling plates and the drip tray installed
and engaged correctly. When heating only one grilling plate, the
unused grilling plate may increase in temperature too. Do not place
any foreign objects on any of the grilling plates (e.g. barbecue uten-
sils, cups, pots).
• For operation or while the appliance is hot: Do not place the appli-
ance on surfaces that could crack, melt, change colour, or become
distorted (e.g. glass, stone, plastic, delicate furniture). Please consi-
der that heat radiation of the appliance may heat up metal surfaces.
• Do not move or tilt the appliance, while the appliance is hot, to avo-
id injuries and damage by spilling of hot liquids. Always switch off
(control dials to "0" and power switch to "O"), unplug, and let the
appliance cool down, before removing any parts, and before moving
or cleaning the appliance.
• Always expect that hot steam and splashes of hot fat and juices may
escape form the grilling plates. Do not hold any part of your body or
delicate objects over or near the appliance. Always ensure that per-
sons (including you) keep sufficient distance to the appliance during
operation.
• Do not place frozen food onto the hot gilling plates. Always leave your
food warm up to room temperature, before grilling. Do not spill or pour
any water onto the hot grilling plates, because water could explosively
