FITTING AND USING THE SHUT-OFF VALVE MVA 400 G

Fit the membrane shutoff valve for preliminary shutoff between the wall plate and the bleed
pressure reducer.
Disconnect pressure source before disassembling! Toxic, corrosive or flammable gases
have to be purged out before disassembly in order to avoid injuries of the operater.
Fire-, explosion- or intoxication hazard!
6.1 FITTING THE SHUT-OFF VALVE MVA 400 G (W)

Check the colour code on the handwheel. Only fit the shut-off valve if the colour code
meets your requirements!
6.1.1 INSTALLATION ON WALL ADAPTER WITH G 3/8" - EXTERNAL SCREW

Tool: open-end wrench SW 36. Parts: seal 14 x 9 x 2 mm.
Installation procedure: Centralize the seal using the pin on the external screw thread connection.
Place the seal on the pin of the wall adapter.
Screw the shut-off valve onto the threaded connection by hand. Keep the pressure reducer at an
angle of 45° in front of the desired position.
Tighten the lockable quick-fitting coupling with the open-end wrench. To do this, use only the
open-end wrench SW 36 which is available as an accessory. As the tightening torque increases, the
pressure reducer is rotated as well. Tighten the quick coupling until the pressure reducer reaches its
desired position. This will give a gas-tight connection (see 5.1.1)..

6.2 USING THE SHUT-OFF VALVE
Open and close the valve by turning the operating lever. Turn the lever by 90°.
The lever latches easily into an opened or closed position.
To close valve:
MVA 400 G: Turn the lever to the right.
MVA 400 W05: Turn the lever to the right.
The lever is now crosswise to the connections.
To open valve:
MVA 400 G: Turn the lever to the left.
MVA 400 W05: Turn the lever to the left.
The lever is now pointing in the direction of the connections.
