Standing
In standing positions it is important that
you distribute your weight on both legs as
evenly as possible. Don't turn suddenly and
abruptly but make sure to slowly turn your
pelvis and legs at the same time.
Walking
Never walk so far as to suffer from exces-
sive fatigue symptoms, rather put in small
breaks in regular intervals. Avoid leaving the
house in particularly bad weather (snow,
ice); if unavoidable we recommend that you
use shoe snow chains.

tion walking upstairs will be preferable to
walking downstairs for you.
Walking upstairs:
If the flight of stairs has a handrail, hold
on to it with one hand and take the crutch
with the other hand. While holding on
tightly with both hands, put the non-opera-
ted leg onto the first stair. Pull the operated
leg up to the first stair and then bring the
crutch on equal height.
