Dear patient,
You have received an artificial hip joint. This
kind of surgical intervention has developed
into a safe standard procedure which is
performed more than 180,000 times a year in
Germany.
By inserting an artificial hip joint, previously
existing movement pain can in many cases be
completely eliminated or at least significantly
reduced. Your new hip joint is not the end in
a chain of therapeutic actions; it is rather the
beginning of new opportunities for activity!

some questions about your artificial hip joint
and give you some useful advice for dealing
with it. The brochure contains extracts of the
