Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the
customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device only works
slowly or does not start.
Low suction force.
Dust escapes from the
device during cleaning.
The battery status dis-
play (1) does not light
up when the device is
connected to the mains
power.
Unusual odour

Possible cause / solution
• Is the battery (4) fl at? Charge up the battery.
• Is the battery too weak? Charge up the battery.
• Is the dust container (7) full? Empty the dust
container.
• Are the motor fi lters heavily clogged? Clean them in
accordance with the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter.
• Is the suction opening (8) blocked? Switch off the
device and remove the blockage.
• It is also possible that some smaller items will remain
stuck to the carpet or will be too big / heavy to be
picked up by the device. Remove these foreign
objects by hand.
• Check whether the dust container, the fi lter
holder (21) and the motor fi lters have been inserted
correctly and adjust the fi t if necessary.
• Check whether the dust container is closed.
• Are the motor fi lters heavily clogged? Clean them in
accordance with the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter.
• Are the motor fi lters worn or damaged? Order and
replace new motor fi lters via customer service.
• Is the mains adapter (12) plugged correctly into the
plug socket and is the barrel connector plugged
correctly into the connecting socket (17) of the
charging station (10)?
• Is the plug socket defective? Try another socket.
• Check the fuse of the mains connection.
• A new odour is normal when the device is used for
the fi rst time; it disappears after a while.
