Chapter III Operation procedure of the four-wheel aligner
3.1 Preparations and restrictions for four-wheel alignment
Preparations:
(1) Check that the dowel pin for the turntable and the measuring slide plate is at the working position.
(2) Adjust the position of the turntable according to the track of the vehicle, and ensure that all wheels are centered on the turntables to
avoid measurement error.
(3) Drive the vehicle onto the lift, set the shift lever to Neutral position, release the parking brake and block the rear wheels with rubber
blocks to prevent the vehicle from moving.
(4) Check the rim size and tire pressure, check the wear of tires and the status of various components of steering system and suspension
system such as tie rod ball, shock absorber, etc. In case of any non-conformity, perform troubleshooting before four-wheel alignment.
(5) Pull out the dowel pin for the turntable and the rear slide plate, press down the front and rear parts of the body with force to free the
wheels, properly straighten the steering wheel, and then install the dowel pin for the turntable and the side slide plate.
(6) Install the fixture and the reflector, and ensure that the four clamping jaws of each fixture fit closely with the edge of the rim, and each
reflector corresponds to a wheel.
(7) Properly adjust the reflector.
(8) Check whether the tools at the corresponding positions of the cabinet are placed correctly by referring to the tool index picture.
(9) Check whether the wheel aligner is properly connected to the lift.
(10) Check whether the lift works properly.
