Chapter IX Precautions for maintenance
The daily maintenance of the wheel aligner is very important, and the precautions for maintenance are given below.
1. Electrical safety of wheel aligner
In order to better guarantee the customers' normal operation as there is a lot of high power equipment in the repair workshop, the
customer of the wheel aligner is recommended to be equipped with small voltage regulator to achieve voltage stability and reduce the
loss of electronic components. If there are frequent power brownouts and outages, it is recommended to equip the computer with a
UPS, in order to guarantee the data security.
2. Dust-proofing and waterproofing of main components of wheel aligner
As the wheel aligner is composed of precision components, its water and moisture prevention work is especially important. In addition,
the wheel aligner must be kept away from the vehicle wash station. As the dust accumulated inside the computer may also lead to
slow response, boot failure, blue screen and other faults of the computer, proper dust prevention measures shall be taken on these
components and the cabinet cover shall be closed in time after use in case the wheel aligner is used in the auto repair shop, auto parts
market, or storefront.
3. Precautions for maintenance of 3D target board and fixture
After use, the target board shall be hung back to the hanger in time and wiped clean with a piece of soft dry cloth without scratches.
Place the component in a cool and well-ventilated place rather than place it in direct sunlight. If severe wear of any fixture jaw occurs,
the jaw must be replaced to avoid scratching the rim. The fixture screw and the sliding bar shall be lubricated periodically to ensure the
flexibility. The fixture shall be handled with care when it is used or moved, and shall be hung on the hanger when it is not in use to avoid
damage, thus affecting the accuracy of the wheel aligner.
4. Overall requirements for the working environment:
Pay attention to the temperature and humidity of the environment, i.e., the ideal working temperature of the computer is 0-40℃ , and
if the ambient humidity is too low or too high, it is easy to cause start failure or frequent crash of the computer, so the ideal working
humidity is 30-80%. Too high humidity may lead to short circuit easily, while too low humidity may lead to the generation of static
electricity easily. Thus, the wheel aligner shall be well ventilated.
