Failures
1. General Failures
- Nothing appears in the displays
2. Pressure
- Acoustic alarm*
- The pressure display (41) shows FFF
- The system is not evacuated or the set pressure is not
reached
Possible Causes
- No power supply.
- The connection to the vacuum gauge (15) is not OK.
- The vacuum gauge (15) is defective.
Vacuum Pump
- The vacuum pump (16) has not been switched on.
- The vacuum pump (16) has not been connected to the po-
wer supply.
- There.is water in the vacuum pump (16)
- The suction line has not been connected or is not properly
connected.
Elimination of Failures
Plug in the mains plug of the basic unit.
Check Fuse Fl (T 1.0 A) and replace it if necessary.
Acknowledge the acoustic alarm by pressing the BELL
button (45).*
Make the correct contacts for the gauge tube (15).
Replace the gauge tube (15).
Put the vacuum pump switch in position ON.
Plug in the mains plug of the vacuum pump at the rear of
the basic unit (Fig. 6, page 7).
Run the pump with no load and with an open gas ballast
valve until cleaning of the oil has been completed.
Effect a change of oil if necessary.
Check the small flange connection between the suction
line and the vacuum pump. Has the centering ring been
placed correctly?
- The discharge valve (25) of the basic unit i> open.
- The venting valve (14) of the base plate is open.
- The chamber-condenser valve (5) is closed.
Close the di>di;inie valve (25).
Close the venting valve (14).
Open the valve plate (5).
Assembly of Equipment
- The L seals (24) are missing or dirty.
- The O ring (26) at the base plate is dirty.
- The condenser housing (2) or the drying chamber (2) (10)
have not been positioned correctly.
- The intermediate ring (4) is not lying properly on the base
plate (3).

properly.
- The pressure regulating valve (33) is not receiving any
control signals.
- The pressure that has been set is too high.
Check to see that the number of L seals (24) are correct
and that they are clean.
Clean the O ring (26).
Mount the acrylic glass cylinder (2) (10) correctly.
Place the positioning pin of the intermediate ring in the
retaining borehole of the base plate and check to see if it
can be turned safely.
Plug in the mains plug and the control line of the pressure
regulating device correctly in the rear panel of the basic
unit (Fig. 6, page 7).
Check Fuse 3 (F 32 mA) and replace it if necessary.
Check the set pressure setting and change it if necessary.
