8. Plan de travail pour realiser une
lyophilisation
•/ Remove the drying chamber (10) and the covering lid
(11).
/ Check the condensate discharge valve (25).
O The valve must be in position CLOSED.
/ Check the venting valve (14) in the base plate.
O The valve should be in position CLOSED.
If a valve plate (5) with the operating sliding handle is part
of the equipment:
/ Check the position of the valve plate.
O The valve plate should be in position OPEN.
/ If required, place pre-cooled, coolable and heatable
shelves (8) in the support hoop (7) of the multi-shelf
frame (6) or in the single shelf frame (29) and connect
theRTD(31).
/ Place the product trays (9) on the support hoop (7) or on
the heatable shelves (8) of the multi-shelf (6) or single
shelf frame (29) as quickly as possible.
Mount the drying chamber (10) with the covering lid (11).
Make sure all the sealing surfaces are clean.
/ Press the DRYING button (51).
'O The pump (16) is started after a time delay and the
system is evacuated.
If a shutoff valve (32) is being used in the suction line of
the vacuum pump (16):
/ Open the shutoff valve (32).
or
If the pressure regulating device (33) is being used*
/ Press the SET PRESSURE button (47).
O The set pressure last adjusted blinks in the display (41).
/ Using the UP and DOWN buttons (49) (arrows pointing
up or down), set the desired pressure (e.g. 5.5 x 10

mbar).
O The set pressure value appears in the display (41).
/ Press the SET PRESSURE button (47) again.
O The actual pressure value appears in the display (41)
and the system is evacuated.
e) Setting other conditions
If the chamber pressure is lower than 3 x 10-' mbar, it is
possible, in general, to begin supplying the product with
heat. If heatable shelves (8) (Cat. No. 045 69) are used, the
setting of the temperature is carried out as described under
Point 6.9, page 20).
Pour cela:
/ Obturer la chambre de dessiccation (10) avec le cou-
vercle (11)
•/ Controler si la vanne a condensats (25) est fermee
O en position ,,Zu".
/ Controler si la vanne de remise a 1'atmosphere est fer-
mee
O en position "Zu".
A cet effet,
/ controler l'ouverture de la vanne plateau
O en position ouvert ,,Auf".
Dans le cas d'un pre-refroidissement des plateaux, ceux-ci
seront poses rapidement sur les etageres ou sur l'etagere
(en cas d'un seul plateau) et le PT100 plateau sera egale-
ment introduit dans le plateau.
/ Fermer la chambre de dessiccation avec le couvercle
(controler la proprete des joints)
</ Appuyer sur la touche ,,DRYING"
O La pompe fonctionne et l'air de la chambre est ainsi
evacue (apres un certain temps).
Si Ton dispose d'une vanne d'isolation (32) sur la canali-
sation d'aspiration de la pompe a vide, celle-ci doit etre
ouverte.
/ Appuyer sur la touche ,,SET PRESSURE"
O A ce moment, on voit clignoter sur le display la pressi-
on de consigne
/ Avec les touches ,,Plus grand ou plus petit" on peut soit
augmenter soit diminuer la valeur de la pression de
consigne (par ex. a 5,5 x 10' mbar)
O Celle-ci s'indique sur le display lorsque la pression
choisie est atteinte
/ Appuyer sur la touche ,,SET PRESSURE"
O Aussitot la pression actuelle s'inscrit sur le display et
l'air de la chambre dessiccation est evacue.
e) Quelques notions concretes:
Lorsque la pression de la chambre est inferieure a 3 x 10-'
mbar, on peut fournir de la chaleur par 1'intermediate des
plateaux chauffants (8) (cat n° 045 69) suivant les coor-
donnees de temperatures decrites comme au pt 6.9, p. 20.
Le point de congelation des produits ne doit jamais etre
depasse. (etre inferieur a la t° de congelation);
