USE AND MAINTENANCE

- Lubricate all the transmission chains with mineral oil (SAE 80W/90) (Fig. 502).
- Grease all parts indicated by transfer nr. 14 ('GRASE') at page 49 of this lea et.
- After the rst hours of work check that all the bolts are still tight.
- Check the tightness of the bolts on the listers (C-D, Fig. 503).
- Lubricate all the transmission chains with mineral oil (SAE 80W/90) (Fig. 502).
- Before every new season, change the gearbox oil with SAE 10W (2 Kg) as follows:
oil drainage plug, 2 Fig. 504;
oil lling plug, 3 Fig. 504.
- Make sure that the transmission rotates freely without any interferences.
- Operate the empty seeding machine, the air- ow frees the pipes from condensation and
removes eventual impurities (Fig. 505).
- Check the tightness of the bolts on the listers (C-D, Fig. 503).
- Clean and lubricate the transmission chains (Fig. 502), the gears and the chain tensioner.
- Check the tensioning and the state of wear of the drive chains (A, Fig. 502)
- Clean the distributor carefully and thoroughly (see cap 3.4).
- Thoroughly clean the entire distribution head (Fig. 506) as follows:
• loosen and remove the wing nuts (G);
• remove the cover on the distributor (H);
• clean metal parts with a brush and plastic parts with a cloth;
• put the cover back in place and close it with the wing nuts.
- Make sure the toothed wheels are properly aligned and the transmission chains are tensioned
to prevent them from wearing out in little time or a failure affecting the transmission parts.
- Lubricate all the transmission chains with mineral oil (SAE 80W/90) (Fig. 502).
