4.1.2 REAR EQUIPMENT

The operation must be carried out on a horizontal plane.
EQUIPMENT FOR THE FERTILIZER DISTRIBUTION
1) Assemble the fertiliser distributor with the exible tubes and
with the central tubing at the centre of the precision planting
unit if possible.
2) Connect the exible tubes from the distributor to the fertilisation
parts using the special hose-clips.
3) The machine in the correct operating position, check the
length of the descent pipes: while the machine is operating, it
is important to avoid folds and bends in the pipes which can
lead to their breaking. Adapt them, if necessary, by varying the
length as shown in Figure 404.
EQUIPMENT FOR THE SEED DISTRIBUTION
1) Attach the rotating harrow to the tractor following the instruc-
tions shown in the equipment's Operation and Maintenance
Manual. Ensure that the equipment is perfectly parallel with
the ground.
2) Assemble the seed drill hitch (Fig. 405) and the end stop device
delivered with the rotating harrow, following the instructions
reported in the equipment Operation and Maintenance Ma-
nual.
3) Apply the equipment extensions on the upper point of the seed
drill hitch as described in Figure 406.
4) With the tractor, and exercising extreme caution, bring the
rotating harrow close to the seeding bar, then, with the aid of
the lifting unit, couple it as shown in Figure 407 (1).
5) Connect the third upper point (2, Fig. 407); the pin will be blo-
cked with the appropriate split pin; use the adjusting tierod (3,
Fig. 407) to keep the equipment perpendicular to the ground
(Fig. 407).
