12.8 Completion of the operating sequence
The following measures should be carried out after each operating sequence:
Close the gas tap, close the water tap,
switch off the main switch, if existing: pull off the mains plug.
Release the pressure by opening the pistol (in case of a high pressure cleaner).

14. Service and maintenance in general

All maintenance should be carried out by well trained professionals only.
14.1 Combustion chamber
Maintain the heating coil and the burner every six months in case of 8-hours-operation, otherwise within shorter periods.
Items to be verified:
14.2 After the use of detergents, rinse with clear water.
Thus depositions at the pump, the heating coil, the valves and the fittings will be avoided.
14.3 Regularly check the hoses for damages
(buckling stress, pressure marks caused by repeated crossing, damages of the rubber coating).
14.4 Inspection of the burner chamber
- Remove the gas burner.
- Remove the outer lid (page 15, item 46).
- Pull out the inner lid (page 15, item 35) with flame tube, inner tube and chimney and remove possible soot accumulation
(in case of liquefied gas).
- Now the inner part of the heating coil can be reached and examined by means of an exterior source of light (a torch e.g.).
Small layers of soot and corrosion can be loosened by using a scratch brush and removed by using a vacuum cleaner.
(Attention: Avoid damaging the insulating plate (page 15, item 9!).
- Spray the entire heating coil with soot spray as completely as possible before reassemblance. After correct adjustment of
the burner the soot will burn out, however be prepared for some excessive smoke while the burner clears this soot.
14.5 Defective heating coil (entirely sooted, calcified, damaged by frost, excessive pressure or faulty material)
The replacement of the heating coil requires the removal of the entire combustion chamber.
Having removed the combustion chamber the procedure is as follows:
- Remove the gas burner.
- Remove the outer and the inner lid as described under item 14.4.
- Turn the combustion chamber from its vertical axis of 180° and place it with its heating coil on a cylinder with
diameter Ø 270mm x 200 mm height (approx. measurements).
- Remove 2 brass nuts (page 15, item 18).
- Pull of the outer casing upward (page 15, P. 8).
- Pull of the inner casing upward (page 15, item 44).
- Remove remainder of the insulating plate (page 15, item 9).
- Place the new heating coil onto the assistant cylinder.
- Re-assemble in reverse order.
- A new insulating plate absolutely has to be used and make sure, that the spacer tubes are not forgotten (page 15, item 36).
14.6 Gas burner
Please see the drawing on page 17 for the construction and the adjustment data of the gas burner.
