ALARM CONDITIONS

1) Parameters loaded from EEPROM are wrong
The letter
, will flash on the display and the system remains blocked. The only way to solve this situation
is to enter the program mode and reprogram the system. If the problem persists after reprogramming, the
problem regards the EEPROM (incorrect memorising). Switch off the power to the system, after a few seconds
switch it back on and then reprogram the system.
2) Both travel limits have cut in simultaneously.
The letter
, will appear on the display and the system remains blocked. The warning lights will flash for a three
second period which is repeated every six seconds. The only way to solve this problem is to check the travel limits
for obstacles or damage and then restart the system.

TIMER CONTROLLED TRAVEL LIMITS

The work time management allows the system to control the position of the gate.
During blackouts the programmer will lose the position of the gate which will be considered to be "completely
closed", unless the completely open travel limit is active this is so as to allow the opening manoeuvre. The
work times are programmed in this transitory phase in such a way as to guarantee the complete opening of
the door and successively complete closing.
After repetitive travel inversion manoeuvres, with the motor stopping then restarting slowly, you may find
that the time control is false and the device does not decelerate before arriving at the travel limit. The time
control will be reset at the next manoeuvre.

BATTERY CHARGER (optional)

If the electronic programmer has been fitted with the battery charger unit PRG850BC it can work off battery power
during blackouts. The following indications should be taken into account:
• To indicate that the programmer is working off battery power when the gate is completely closed a hyphen flowing
around the perimeter of the display will appear (see page 18). If the battery is under charged a hyphen will appear on
the lower half of the display and the indicator lamp will activate and flash 4 times every 30 seconds.
When the battery is completely flat the letter "C" will appear on the display and the programmer will block completely
(only when the gate is completely closed). When the power supply returns and the battery begins to recharge the
system will automatically be freed and the indication on the display will change.
• When the gate is completely closed the external devices (photoelectric cells, metallic mass detectors etc.)
do not receive power in order to increase the battery life. When a command is received the programmer sends
power to the safety devices and checks their status.
The execution of the command will therefore be delayed by about 1 second (the time required by the programmer
to reset their functions) and will only be carried out if the devices are at rest. If after this period an alarm
condition occurs the command will not be carried out , power to the external devices will be cut off and the
programmer will return to the stand-by mode.
Attention! If you decide to use an external receiver it must also work off battery power otherwise it will not be
possible to activate the gate using a radio control.
• If the mains power is cut off while the gate is moving it will block for about 1 second, to allow the battery circuit time
to send power to the safety devices, after which it will begin moving in the same direction again.
• In the battery powered mode it is possible to enter programming and modify the system parameters, the
deceleration times and the torque limiter. It is not however possible to modify the work cycle times. When the pause
symbol appears after "L3", pressing the "PROG" button will force the program to quit.
CHANGING THE BATTERIES
The batteries must be changed by authorised technicians and the flat batteries are to be disposed of
according to the local standards and regulations in course.
At the end of the control unit's life span and before disposing of the unit makes sure you remove the
batteries and dispose of them separately.
