Chapter 5. Cleaning the FMS DUO+

5.0 Cleaning the FMS DUO+
At the end of the operating day, switch the FMS DUO+ off, unplug the power cord and discard all tubing.
Wipe off the instrument's sides, front panel and covers with a soft cloth that has been slightly moistened
with a neutral-pH detergent. Wipe again using distilled water to rinse.
Warning:
DO NOT IMMERSE. DO NOT AUTOCLAVE. Do not use flammable agents when cleaning and disinfecting
the FMS DUO+.
Foot pedal board cleaning/decontamination
After each operation, clean the foot pedal and the power cord with a neutral -pH detergent. The foot pedal
board can be immersed, except the electrical connections which must remain dry.
Warning:
DO NOT IMMERSE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR OF FOOT PEDAL. DO NOT AUTOCLAVE. Do not use
flammable agents when cleaning and disinfecting the foot pedal.
Do not twist the cable when storing.
Do not unplug instrument by pulling on cable.
