5.2.2.2 Settings for a bus selected
Input channels can also be assigned to a bus from the bus It will,
however, not be possible to set the stereo balance of the input chan-
nels and to define where the signal is picked up (Pre Fader/ Post Fader)
1) Press the key BUS 1– 8 (13) The overview of the buses will be
displayed (fig 10)
A channel strip is displayed for each bus containing the following
information (from top to bottom):
– direct assignment of the bus signal to an output, e g "OUT 1"
(
 chapter 524)
– insert effects used for this bus, e g Mod 1, Rev 2 or GEQ 1
(
chapter 571); INSERT will be displayed if no effect has
been assigned to the insert point
– miniature curve of the parametric equalizer (
– input channels assigned to this bus including the signal part
adjusted (Send control); for stereo buses also the mono buses
assigned
– bus name (
 chapter 61)
– volume adjustment for the bus (bar graph on the left)
– PAN (mono buses) / BAL (stereo buses) stereo position or stereo
balance of the bus signal
– assignment to the stereo sum "L&R"
– status indication ⓣ when the signal delay has been activated
– SOLO status and MUTE status; like the signal of an input channel,
a bus signal can be monitored via the SOLO key (11) (
ter 514)
– signal level (bar graph on the right)

4) To assign the input channels and to adjust the signal parts to be
routed from the input signals to the bus selected, press the key
SENDS (13) so that it is illuminated
The keys M (12) can be used now to assign the corresponding
input channel to the bus selected or to revoke the assignment
Press the key IN 1– 8 or IN 9 – 20 (13) to go to the corresponding
inputs if required
5) The faders are used now to change the signal part of the corre-
sponding input To quickly set the value 0 dB, press the key SOLO
6) To assign the bus signals to the stereo sum and to adjust the signal
parts to be routed from the mono buses to the stereo buses, tap
the topmost section of the channel strip The corresponding Send
