2.1 Conformity and approval

Herewith, MONACOR INTERNATIONAL declare that the USB wireless
LAN adapter supplied with DELTA-160 complies with the directive
2014 / 53 / EU The EU declaration of conformity is available on the
Internet:
wwwimg-stagelinecom
The adapter operating in the range of 24 GHz is generally approved
for operation in EU and EFTA countries It is licence-free and requires
no registration

3 Safety Notes

The units (mixer and power supply unit) correspond to all relevant
directives of the EU and are therefore marked with
WARNING
The power supply unit uses dangerous mains voltage
Leave servicing to skilled personnel only: Risk of
electric shock!
The units are suitable for indoor use only Protect them against
dripping water, splash water, high air humidity and heat (admissible
ambient temperature range: 0 – 40 °C)
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the units, e g a drink-
ing glass
The heat produced inside the mixer must be dissipated by air circu-
lation; never cover the air vents of the housing
Do not operate the units and immediately disconnect the mains
plug from the socket
1 if one of the units or the mains cable is visibly damaged
2 if a defect might have occurred after a unit was dropped or suf-
fered a similar accident,
3 if malfunctions occur
In any case, the units must be repaired by skilled personnel
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the mains plug from the
socket, always seize the plug
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use water or chemicals
No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for any resulting
personal damage or material damage will be accepted if the units
are used for other purposes than originally intended, if they are not
correctly connected or operated, or if they are not repaired in an
expert way Likewise, no liability will be accepted for any data loss
as a result of operating errors or a defect or for any consequential
damage caused by this data loss
If the units are to be put out of operation definitively, take
them to a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not
harmful to the environment

4 Setting up and Connections

The mixer is designed as a tabletop unit, but it can also be installed into
a rack (482 mm / 19") The mounting brackets RM/DELTA-160 (available
as accessories) are required for rack installation To ensure sufficient
cooling, air must always be able to flow freely through all air vents
Make sure to place the mixer on a flat surface when setting it up
It is recommended to switch off the devices when making or
changing any connections, at least mute the inputs and turn back the
outputs to minimum; otherwise, signal peaks that occur when connec-
tions are made at high gain may damage the speakers, for example

4.1 Microphones

Connect microphones with XLR plug to the jacks MIC (15) For micro-
phones requiring phantom power, a separate 48 V phantom power
can be activated for each channel during operation (

4.2 Audio sources with line level

Connect audio sources with line level (e g CD/MP3 player, tuner, key-
boards, effect units) to the stereo inputs ST 1 or ST 2 (16) The 63 mm
jacks are balanced, but it is also possible to connect audio sources
with unbalanced signals via 2-pole 63 mm plugs Connect mono
audio sources to the 63 mm jacks of the connections MIC 1– 12 (15)
To use the stereo channels ST 1 or ST 2 with a mono signal, only
connect the jack LEFT; the signal will then be sent to both stereo
channels

4.3 Audio sources with digital signal

Connect a stereo audio source with S/ PDIF signal to the RCA jack
S/ PDIF (20)

4.4 USB storage media

To reproduce, for example, audio files from a USB flash drive via the
mixer or to record the signal of the stereo sum or of a signal bus on
the USB flash drive, connect the USB flash drive to one of the two
USB ports (3) The settings saved to the mixer can also be saved to
an external storage device
Note: Due to the large number of storage device manufacturers and device
drivers, it cannot be guaranteed that all storage media are compatible with the
mixer

4.5 Amplifier system for the audience (front of house)

The mixer follows a quite flexible concept where the outputs do not
have a fixed function Therefore, each of the outputs can be used to
connect an amplifier system for the audience In the default settings,
the stereo sum of the mixer is present at the output jacks OUT 7 and
OUT 8 (17) and at the digital outputs S / PDIF (19) and AES/ EBU (21) The
XLR outputs are balanced In addition to the main speakers, specific
zones may be provided with support speakers at additional outputs
The signals of these support speakers are made available via signal
buses The bus signals can be delayed individually to compensate
sound delay times

4.6 Amplifier system for stage monitors

This mixer does not offer any specific Aux ways for stage monitors
The monitor signals can be mixed on the signal buses and routed to
any outputs
Connect the amplifiers for the monitor speakers, the active monitors
or the in-ear monitor systems to the corresponding jacks OUT (17)
For stereo monitor systems, the digital outputs S/ PDIF (19) and
AES / EBU (21) can also be used
