• Measure the two necessary lengths between the reference
endpoints 1 + 2. Refer to the measuring sequence and the
device orientation indicated by the digits in the diagram
above. The height is calculated automatically and will
appear in the bottom row.

i) Distance between two points (P2P)

This measuring function automatically determines the length
of a distance between two reference points in the y plane.
The measured distance (L) is indicated in green on the LCD
display (8).
• Press the
functions menu.
• Press the + (9) or - button (12) to select P2P (distance
between two points) mode (
selection with the MEAS button (4).
• A warning message will appear on the LCD display (8).
The measuring device will calibrate itself automatically.
Do not move the device during this time. Wait until the
warning message disappears.
If the calibration fails to complete, the display will
revert to the list of measurement modes. If this
occurs, repeat the calibration process.
• Measure the two required lengths. Refer to the diagram
above for details on the measurement sequence. The
distance between the reference end points is calculated
automatically and will appear in the bottom line of the
display.
