• Press the + (9) or - button (12) to navigate up or down
through the different functions. Press the MEAS button (4)
to confirm your selection.
• Press the MEAS (4) button to start the first measurement.

a previous measurement, the corresponding
measuring function will be displayed when you

b) Positioning the measuring device

• Point the laser beam at the surface that you want to
measure. Ensure that the measuring device is kept as still
as possible, or place it on a mat/pad. Note that status of
the green digital spirit level (B) indicator on the left-hand
side of the LCD display (8).
• Start with the first measurement on a reference point.
Place the measuring device on the same reference point
again and adjust it to obtain the next length measurement.
Repeat this for further measurements. Take note of the
measuring icons on the display. The length measurement
and the numerical result will appear in green.

15. Measuring functions

The spirit level indicator (green bar) on the far left-
hand side of the LCD display (8) helps you to level
the measuring device when taking a horizontal
length measurement. The green bar must be
exactly between the boundary lines. This shows
that the measuring device is exactly horizontal.
Using a tripod or placing the measuring device on
a level surface makes it easier to determine the
horizontal position of the measuring device.
